FOR ANDROID, WITHOUT THE PRESSURE
A gentle Yapp alternative for Android
Looking for the kind of random-reminder experience Yapp describes on the App Store, but using Android? Spontificant is an Android app for gentle nudges that arrive at random within an active window you choose.
The two apps are not presented as feature-for-feature matches. Yapp's current first-party listing describes custom messages, random delivery, widgets, iCloud storage, search, organization, sounds, and individual reminder controls for its iPhone and iPad app. Spontificant takes a different approach: small preset or custom nudges, quiet hours, and no streaks, scores, or social feed.

What Spontificant is like on Android
Choose how many nudges you would like and the active window in which they may arrive. Add your own words, or use the available nudge content. Quiet hours give you time without notifications. After setup, local scheduling can work offline.
On Android, Google sign-in is required before first use. An internet connection may still be needed for sign-in, downloading content, subscription checks, or Premium sync across devices.
Timing is intentionally not exact
Spontificant places nudges randomly within the active window you choose. It does not promise an exact delivery time. On Android, battery optimization can delay notifications on some devices. Spontificant is not an alarm or a tool for medication, safety, emergencies, or deadlines.
Who might prefer this approach?
Spontificant may fit if you want random prompts on Android, room for your own words, and a small moment without a streak, score, or feed to maintain.
It may not fit if you need an exact-time alarm or a notification you can rely on for medication, safety, emergencies, or a deadline.
